August 6, 2010: Lake Virginia to Silver Lake

I got a late start as I did not need to cover much mileage and headed for Silver Pass. The climb to Silver Pass was relatively easy. After I got over the pass, I spotted what appeared to be a good campsite on Silver Lake, but after getting down to it, I noticed a stream that was closer than the wilderness regulations allowed. I found another campsite near the southern end of the lake a sufficient distance from water.
